Welcome to Frugatti's. I am Raffaele Giovanni Fruguglietti, but you can call me Ralph. My wife and children play integral roles here, embodying our commitment to providing you with one of life’s greatest joys: sharing delightful moments with friends and family over a table laden with delicious food, fine wine, and shared laughter.

With the diligent assistance of our dedicated staff, our aim is to deliver unparalleled Italian dining experiences in Bakersfield. Drawing from my upbringing in Grumento Nova, Italy, I am fortunate to possess a deep understanding of authentic Italian dining traditions. Recalling my childhood days spent alongside my mother at the local baker's shop in Grumento Nova, where we used a wood-burning oven to bake bread and pizza, evokes cherished memories. My children fondly referred to my mother as “Nonni,” a skilled cook whose pizza remains unrivaled in my estimation.

Embracing "Nonni's way" entails sourcing genuine equipment and the finest ingredients. Our journey commenced with the acquisition of a wood-burning oven from Milan, Italy — reminiscent of the one utilized by my family in Grumento Nova. We procure vine-ripened tomatoes from the esteemed Cortopassi family in Modesto, California; while their tomatoes may be among the priciest in the market, they unquestionably rank as the finest. Additionally, our cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil hails from the Verni Olive Oil Company, which traces its roots back to 1923 in Sannicandro Di Bari, Italy before relocating to Clovis, California in 1980 under the guidance of second-generation grower Saverio Verni. This olive oil is meticulously crafted following traditional family methods established in Italy.

At Frugatti’s, we proudly showcase Certified Angus Beef brand to ensure superior flavor and quality. Each cut is carefully aged to perfection, resulting in succulent and tender steaks that epitomize excellence.
